Meet the team
Aldo Vinci
Starting his journey as a bartender in 2007, Aldo completed the Planet One American Bartending School Advanced course and went on to work in a 5-star hotel in Italy for the next five years. Eventually becoming a bar manager, he left Italy to start a new career in London, at a restaurant chain called Balans in Soho, and in 2014, he became a certified bartender and trainer at Be At One.
As Be At One’s Learning and Development Manager, he managed and coordinated all training at the company’s West End bars, being responsible for more than 100 bartenders’ personal development. He also managed the training element, which involved designing the bar schematics, bar stations, setting up back-of-house storage, and ensuring all bars opened with a fully trained team.
Furthermore, he managed the Be At One bartender challenge, the company’s biggest annual event, which involves all 350 bartenders in an internal competition to find the Best Bartender, Best Bar Team, Best Newcomer, Best Technical Bartender, and Fastest Bartender.
Danilo Lombardi
After completing a course at Planet One American Bartending School in Italy, Danilo began working as a bartender throughout the Apulia region in 2009. Hungry to expand his knowledge and experience, he completed the Advanced course a year later and accepted a position as an assistant trainer.
Danilo came to London in November 2013, working at Be At One Cocktails for six months from May 2014, and certified well under the average time in the company’s bartender challenge. Named the Be At One Best Bartender in 2014, Danilo was recruited to lead a team of 20 bartenders as leader of the company’s Greek street team, which took more than £4 million a year.
In April 2017, Danilo became the first Be At One Brand Ambassador, a role exclusively for bartender challenge winners, representing the company in all media communication, working VIP events, and leading the new bar openings team. With a vast array of experience in training bartenders, he accepted the role of Classroom Trainer in January 2018, and advanced to the role of Learning and Development Manager by the end of the year.
